Honda has been widely regarded for its constant testament to safety when designing, developing, and producing new vehicles. Their 2023 lineup of vehicles is continuing this legacy of safety-first production with the latest recognition from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s (IIHS) 2022 TOP SAFETY PICK+ (TSP+) rating. As the highest accolade from the IIHS, the 2023 HR-V is evaluated in all categories for its crashworthiness and has passed with flying colours.
2023 Honda HR-V Safety Ratings
The Honda HR-V has gone through rigorous testing to assess its crashworthiness. The Top Safety Pick+ award evaluates the vehicle’s crashworthiness and rates the performance “ACCEPTABLE,” “GOOD,” “ADVANCED,” or “SUPERIOR.” To receive this first-class award from the IIHS, the vehicle must earn “GOOD” ratings in six crashworthiness evaluations, plus meet various other requirements across all trim levels. The 2023 HR-V earned a “SUPERIOR” rating for its front crash prevention and has received the Institute’s highest possible crashworthiness ratings in all other evaluated categories.
