The Honda Civic Engine

The Honda R engine is an inline 4-cylinder fuel-injected engine launched in 2006 for the Honda Civic. It is a SOHC 16-valve design that uses Honda's i-VTEC system. The R series engine has a compression ratio of 10:5:1 and features a "drive by wire" throttle system. The Honda R series engine also uses many advanced technologies to reduce friction and increase fuel efficiency. Additionally, the piston rings are made with an ion plating, and the overall weight of the engine is lightened by using plastic and aluminum parts.

How to turn off the check engine light on a Honda Accord?
To reset the check engine light on your Honda Accord, turn the ignition key to the battery accessory position. This will light up all the symbols on the instrument panel without turning on the engine. Continue to depress the select/reset button until the check engine light goes out. On some models, the light may blink once before turning off.
